The Center for Learner Intelligence

The Center for Learner Intelligence is a venue for educators, learning and development professionals, and learning technologists to discuss and hopefully shape the future of education. Rapidly evolving technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, and the Internet of Things will dramatically alter the educational landscape. The main theme of The Center for Learner Intelligence is to encourage a learner-centric design philosophy and promote learner autonomy in digital education.

To that end, Learner Intelligence (LI) is introduced as an adaptive design strategy enabling learners to choose the way he or she learns best. LI design is simple enough for instructional designers to implement immediately using popular authoring tools. Now highly adaptive courseware can be developed without artificial intelligence or third-party platforms.

LI design is ideally suited to the modern adult learner who expects relevant, just-in-time learning. As learners take an active role in selecting what and how to learn, learner engagement increases, and long-term retention improves. LI designed courses provide unique learning experiences to large diverse learning audiences.
